Baptism Sunday - May 12th at 9AM and 10:45AM Services

Sunday May 12th is Baptism Sunday! We are fired up!  Baptisms are a special time when followers of Jesus declare and observers celebrate the decision of those being baptized to step over the line of faith and trust in Jesus as their Sin Forgiver and Life Leader.  At youth, we are encouraging students who are followers of Jesus and have never experienced baptism as a mark of your allegiance to Jesus to take this next step. 

Baptism Class (an opportunity for students to learn more about this process) will take place this week, Thursday May 2nd at 7PM. If you or your child are interested in attending or in getting baptized on May 12th, or have any questions about this process, please email kylee@gracecommunity.ca and/or john@gracecommunity.ca

True Health and Body Image Seminar - Wednesday, May 15th

On May 15th, we will be having guest speaker Taylor Ashley, a psychotherapist and youth body image specialist from the Waterloo-Wellington Eating Disorders Coalition, coming to provide education about true health and body image, covering topics like health myths, balanced eating, and body neutrality. This will be followed by our regular small groups gathering for discussion and reflection on the seminar, as well as how our faith ties into the conversation.

We will still have our regular youth elements this day as well, including games, snacks, and free time. The guest speaker will just replace our regular lesson time.

Senior Youth will still take place on Tuesday, May 14th, however we will be inviting our Senior Youth to join us the following day for this event, as it is a challenging but deeply applicable topic for all our youth to engage in. Youth Led Sunday - May 19th at 9AM and 10:45AM Services

Mark your calendars…

We are SO excited for our youth led Sunday at Grace. That morning will be an opportunity for students to lead worship, share what they’re learning, and give the church congregation insight into our Grace Youth program. We will be solidifying student participants in this event over the next few weeks and hope that all our our regular attendees will be able to participate in some way.

If you do not attend another church on a Sunday, we would LOVE to have you at this service to see what your kids are up to! Our services are at 9AM and 10:45AM.

GY Amazing Race - May 22 at 6PM

Our second annual GY Amazing Race is just around the corner! We will be meeting at Grace Community Church at 6PM on Wednesday, May 22nd. There is a $5 entry fee per person to enter the event, which can be paid this entry fee by e-transfering fin@gracecommunity.ca prior to the event. 

This is an All-Youth event (so there will be no Senior Youth on May 22nd), with grades 6-12 will be competing against each other, however there will be separate prizes for the winning Junior Team and the winning Senior Team.
