Sundays
SUNDAY MORNINGS
Our Sunday morning program takes place at Grace Community Church on 7427 Wellington County Rd 30, Guelph.
Here’s what’s happening for our youth on Sundays at Grace:
JUNIOR YOUTH (Grades 6-8)
Our Junior Youth students (grades 6-8) are involved in congregational worship at the beginning of service, and then are dismissed to Sunday school where they learn lessons that typically parallel Sunday sermon content. This is in the hopes that families will be able to learn together and discuss big ideas throughout the week.
However, from January until the end of May, our class will be reading through the gospel of John, one chapter per week, while practicing a variety of Bible reading methods.
The purpose for this series is twofold. Firstly, students will have the opportunity to encounter who Jesus is firsthand through the pages of the gospel, discussing thoughts and questions along the way. Secondly, students will be empowered to take ownership of their quiet time by learning simple methods to engage meaningfully with Scripture.
In March, we will be practicing the APLE method of Bible reading, the details for which are included in the graphic below.
SENIOR YOUTH (Grades 9-12)
Our Senior Youth (grades 9-12) are involved in the congregational service from start to finish, participating in worship and then listening to a message from our lead pastor, Ken Taylor.
Our current series is entitled “8 Days That Changed the World”, examining the 8 days leading up to the resurrection of Jesus.
